The collection is inspired by the elements and utter charm of a winter's garden atmosphere. The different hues of light of the winter’s dawn play an important role in the creation of the colour palette. Photographic prints of the “Winter Garden", filtered by the artificial colours of the lens, turn into macro prints that become an all over pattern that envelops the body.
Whirlwinds of fabric wrap and reshape the silhouette of the Silvio Betterelli ideal woman, who acquires the spirit of a modern “Amazon”. A glacial sensuality permeates the entire collection and is expressed also through very thin metal layers and lurex effects that glimmer dew-like on the fabrics.
The spirals of fabric alternate with fluid cuts and drapes which reveal unexpected low necklines and high slits. Exceptional and gathered fil coupés embroideries, reverse-cut, create frayed textures resembeling silken moss and lichens. The collection is completed by fur items presented in different lengths which recall the whirlwind leit motif of the season, featuring particular light effects.
Printed silk satin, cady, coated wool or wool with lurex inserts, jacquards woven in dégradé colours, flower-print coupés used inside out reveal interesting fabric textures which imitate the effect of pixels in the way the colours of the prints seep into each other.
Colours range from dark brown to midnight blue and plum, from pink to vivid accents of blue and fuchsia, reinventing the prints and the degrades in all their nuances.
